Zenith Energy is one of the major players in the CDM market in India. It provides a range of services such as awareness generation, capacity building among various industries and government agencies, conceptualization to registration and selling of CERs in the international market. In its CDM portfolio, Zenith Energy has diversified projects (sectorally and geographically) and diversity can be seen in the size of the projects (i.e., CERs accruing to the project proponent). There are 100 projects handled by its professionals which are at various stages of registration. Till date Zenith Energy has been able to register 31 projects with CDM Executive Board out of which 16 projects are from Hydro and 14 projects from Biomass and 1 project under Waste to energy. |

A glance on the projects in pipeline demonstrates that sectoral spread of CDM projects is increasing. Currently more than 10 projects in the field of Energy Efficiency and Waste Heat recovery are in different stages of registration apart from large and small hydro, biomass, biogas, wind etc. For instance, 6 Wind projects in Karnataka, Tamilnadu and Kerala are being developed as CDM projects, 2 projects under Cement Blending, 2 Bio Diesel projects, 3 projects in Biogas etc. |

In terms of spatial spread Zenith Energy has CDM projects across length and breadth of India. To cite, a few in the Northern region there are good number of hydro projects in Himachal Pradesh that are in different stages of being registered as CDM projects; in Southern most region, wind Projects in Kerala; biomass power projects in Gujarat of Western region and large hydro projects in Sikkim of Eastern region of India. Thus the CDM portfolio is well spread both spatially and sectorally. |
