PROJECT PORTIFOLIO for CERs

Zenith has been developing projects under CDM since 2000. The projects include basically grid connected renewable energy projects in the sectors of Biomass, biofuel and Small Hydro.

The portfolio of projects developed by Zenith is presented below for the benefit of those interested in these projects for purchase of emission reductions.

4.5MW Grid-connected SHP in Himachal Pradesh , India

37 MW Middle Kolab Hydroelectric Project in Orissa, India

Project Details

The purpose of the project activity is to generate electricity using seasonal discharges of the Middle Kolab River for power generation. Generated electricity will be exported to Orissa State grid (GRIDCO). The project comprises two project components, one is 25MW and the other is 12 MW HEP. Both will be constructed across the Middle Kolab River

Status

Project is under validation. Expected emission reductions : 130,000 tCO2e per year.

Taraila small hydroelectric project in Himachal Pradesh, India

Project Details

The proposed CDM project is a bundle of two small hydroelectric projects of capacity 5 MW each, proposed by two independent private entities. The capacity of the bundled CDM project is 10 MW.

Two hydroelectric projects are proposed as run-of-the-river type grid-connected power generation projects in Himachal Pradesh. Entire electricity generated by these projects will be fed to the Himachal Pradesh State Electricity Board (HPSEB) at the nearest substation.

Status

Project is under validation. Expected emission reductions are 54,000 tCO2e per annum.

6 MW bundled Small Hydroelectric Projects in Uttaranchal, India

Project Details

Two small hydro electric projects of 5 MW each are proposed on Kailganga river in the District of Chamoli in Uttaranchal. The energy generated is proposed to be sold to State utility company

30 TPD Biodiesel Project in Andhra Pradesh, India

Project Details

The purpose of the project activity is to manufacture biodiesel from tree borne oil seeds etc., for partially substituting or using as a blend in mineral diesel. The proposed project promotes mitigation of GHG emissions by substituting the mineral diesel in transportation vehicles with biodiesel, which is a renewable energy source.

Status

PDD completed. Host country approval obtained. New methodology is proposed for approval to CDM EB. Expected emission reductions are 27,000 tCO2e per annum
